Nervous System Inflammation and Types

A San Jose, California-based chiropractor with several decades of experience in the healthcare industry, Yola Dabrowski started her career with a San Jose practice for nearly a decade. In this capacity, she employed holistic treatments, such as spinal manipulation and massage to treat her patients. Additionally, Yola Dabrowski attended Carrick Institute with a concentration in functional medicine. Her studies included the inflammation autoimmune processes in the Central Nervous System (CNS).

A serious condition, vasculitis of the central nervous system falls into a group of uncommon diseases. Blood vessel inflammation occurs and limits blood flow, which destroys important organs and tissues. CNS vasculitis can block the arteries supplying the brain and spinal cord. The result is potentially fatal consequences, such as stroke or loss of brain function.

Primary angiitis of the CNS impacts the brain and spinal cord. It isn't linked to any other systemic illness. Secondary CNS vasculitis, on the other hand, leads to autoimmune disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis or systemic lupus erythematosus.
